I have had a love affair with animals all my life. But the parrots just seemed to really hit a sweet spot with me. I've owned them for 18 years, and I've been breeding and raising babies almost that long.
We've been through lots of things together. Its a miracle that my flock is even still with me, but God has been generous in indulging this particular passion of mine.
My writing often includes our interactions, so for those who have read me for years, you can finally put some faces to the stories you've read.
After a lengthy hiatus, we've been blessed with an abundance of babies through the fall of this year. I've given them their own page, so you can see how they developed through the early days of their lives. They are each an amazing tiny miracle in the making.
My pet birds are my family, and its often a crazy life. Please stop by and see their smiling faces and hopefully in the near future, hear their lovely voices. Coco talks non-stop and Jibber sings his own songs. They can drive me crazy but their joy is nearly always infectious.
The breeders at extended family, located in a building outside, they take up quite a bit of my time, energy and money. But they are beautiful and wonderful, each in their own right.
